McCain Turns to Palin for Foreign Policy AdviceOctober 1, 2008
Yes, that’s the claim that John McCain is making now. Ridiculous, isn’t it? On NPR, Senator McCain actually spewed this absurdity over the airwaves.
Steve Inskeep: Given what you’ve said, senator, is there an occasion where you could imagine turning to Gov. Palin for advice in a foreign policy crisis?
Sen. McCain: I’ve turned to her advice many times in the past. I can’t imagine turning to Sen. Obama or Sen. Biden, because they’ve been wrong. They were wrong about Iraq, they were wrong about Russia. Sen. Biden wanted to divide Iraq into three different countries. He voted against the first Gulf War. Sen. Obama has no experience whatsoever and has been wrong in the issues that he’s been involved in.
Steve Inskeep: But would you turn to Gov. Palin?
Sen. McCain: I certainly wouldn’t turn to them, and I already have turned to Gov. Palin, particularly on energy issues, and I’ve appreciated her background and knowledge on that and many other issues.
Give us a break, Senator. You have done no such thing, and if you have, you need to be locked up in an asylum. Imagine turning to Sarah ‘Russia is near Alaska, that’s my experience’ Palin for anything other than advice on highlighting your hair, or what caliber rifle to use on a bull moose? What kind of advice on energy could he get from her? The wrong information on what percentage of domestic oil comes from Alaska?
Be a man, Senator, admit that you made the worst VP choice in the history of VP choices, or we will all continue to laugh at you–in your face. A complete disgrace, John McCain, that’s what this whole charade is.
