McCain Camp Ready to Dump Palin?September 26, 2008
Ed Shultz, the radio talk show host, brings word of some in the McCain campaign questioning Palin’s abilities:
Capitol Hill sources are telling me that senior McCain people are more than concerned about Palin. The campaign has held a mock debate and a mock press conference; both are being described as “disastrous.” One senior McCain aide was quoted as saying, “What are we going to do?” The McCain people want to move this first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the inside are saying the Alaska Governor is “clueless.”
If this is truly the case, and they feel she is unfit to help McCain, and become VP, how long does she have left on the ticket? Not long.
Here’s my guess:
Citing the economic crisis, McCain will announce a change in his VP choice. It will fly through the RNC committees, and Palin will be praised for her abilities, but that a more knowledgeable VP is needed to handle the economic woes of the nation. I will guess that it will be Mitt Romney, and that this will happen BEFORE the VP debates on October 8.
You heard it here first…and if it doesn’t happen, well, I will deny I ever said it.
